Integrative Therapy

As an integrative therapist, I apply multiple schools of thought in psychology to offer the most beneficial support tailored to your immediate needs.

Psychodynamic principles:

   - Focuses on understanding how past experiences shape your present behavior and emotions.

   - Inspired by Dr. Freud and others, this approach helps uncover unconscious patterns of behaviours and helpful/unhelpful defence mechanisms employed by your psyche that can be addressed

Humanistic princinples:

   - Emphasises your inherent capacity for self-direction

   - Based on the gentle and patient approach of C. Rogers and others, this method supports personal growth respecting your full autonomy and offers unconditional positive regard for your experience.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP):

   - A form of psychotherapy that explores the connections between language, thoughts, and behavior.

   - Helps achieve desired outcomes by changing thought patterns and behaviors.

Coaching:

   - At times, you may benefit from more of a directional way to achieve your goals. During these times, working on your individual needs in a person-centred way, we could work on a clear steps to follow in order to achieve agreed therapeutic goal.

-

Holistic:

   - You are a whole being with physical, mental, spiritual, and social needs. Just talking is not always enough to access the core of your struggles.

- A lot of attention is given to your body and psychical state as a valuable instrument to help with healing.

Overall, this comprehensive approach ensures that you receive personalised care, focusing on what benefits you the most at this moment.
